SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
* You must call our
office and set up an account before these instructions will
work for you
IF YOU HAVE THE NEW WINDOWS XP OPERATING SYSTEM
don’t use the set-up disk, but follow directions at the
bottom of this letter.
Enclosed
please find the set-up disk for our Internet service as well
as a list of our local access numbers in Maryland and
Delaware. Survey the access list and call the number you
believe is local to you. You should hear the sound of a fax
connection. DO NOT DIAL A “1” to reach an access
number. This will ensure that the number you select is
indeed a local call for you.
Once
you’ve found your local access number, please follow these
directions:
1.
Insert the disk into the “A” drive
2.
Click “Start” and then “Run”
3.
Type: A:\isetup.exe
4.
Click “Okay”
Welcome
to myshorelink.com Internet Service. We will now setup your
computer to use our service. PRESS OK
To setup
your User Account, enter in the following exactly as
written below:
Login Name (the
name you chose when we spoke on the phone)@myshorelink.com
Password (the
word you chose when we spoke on the phone)
Real
Name (how you want it to appear when sending
mail)
Ok, you
are ready to start surfing the web! Have fun!
Please
answer YES to the file and printer-sharing question.
Choose
your state, and your city, and the number should match the
list we sent.
Click on
save password and then connect…
Directions for XP Users:
Select
“Start” then “Programs” then “Accessories” then
“Communications” then “New Connection Wizard” (NOT
“Network Connection Wizard”). Follow the prompts to set up
your ShoreLink Internet connection manually.
To change
your home page address select “Start” then “Control Panel”
then “Network and Internet Connections” and then “Internet
Options.” The address box is at the top of the “General”
tab. Click “Apply” after you make a change.

THAT YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS AND USERNAME IS
